Fully funding our educational system is critical to ensuring today's students are equipped to be tomorrow's leaders. Equally important is establishing accountability to the educational system stakeholders. Those stakeholders include teachers and the students they educate, the parents who entrust their children to them, and the taxpayers who finance the system. Ensuring these stakeholders’ needs and expectations are met is crucial for a thriving educational environment.
Fiscal Responsibility
Fair and effective fiscal policies are crucial to balancing spending and taxation. Government must have sufficient resources to fulfill its responsibilities but must carefully weigh that against the financial burden it may place on citizens. Excessive taxation can obstruct individuals from fully enjoying the rewards of their hard work and lifetime of labor.
IT & Cyber Security
Domestic and foreign bad actors continue to look for security weaknesses. Given our recent systems failures within state government, we need to quickly improve our safeguards and protect our resources and documents.
